The 2.0 Guide to Catalog Digitalization by Alliance Digitale

ARISTID is proud to have contributed to the 2.0 Guide to Catalog Digitalization, presented by Alliance Digitale. This guide highlights the transition from paper catalogs to digital formats, which are now more interactive, personalized, and measurable. As an essential reference, it provides retailers with key insights to better understand digital practices and maximize the impact of their promotional campaigns, both in-store and online.

Alliance Digitale invited digital marketing professionals to a “Drive to Store” morning event on Thursday, September 25, 2025, in Paris.

This event underscores the importance of uniting industry forces to accelerate the transition towards more effective local communication that adapts to new consumer behaviors.

Since 2024, ARISTID has been contributing its expertise to Alliance Digitale as a member of the Drive to Store committee. We are actively involved in the catalog digitalization task force, working to advance industry practices.

Alliance Digitale Updates

An Overview of the Paper-to-Digital Transition

Historically focused on paper (flyers, ISA, leaflets…), catalogs have always had an essential function: making offers visible, inspiring customers, and generating in-store traffic. However, due to digitalization and environmental constraints, they are undergoing a significant transformation.

This guide provides a comprehensive overview of the transition from paper catalogs to their digital versions. It highlights concrete practices and feedback to help retailers move from traditional formats to more interactive, personalized, and measurable solutions. By leveraging use cases and best practices, it equips distributors with key insights to better engage their customers while optimizing the performance of their promotional campaigns, both in-store and online.

Catalog Digitalization Guide

The Catalog Digitalization Guide

This guide highlights what we have long advocated: the end of the “one-size-fits-all catalog” in favor of a redesigned digital tool capable of delivering rich, measurable experiences that address environmental challenges. This is the vision we champion every day alongside our clients and partners.

The transformation of promotional catalogs represents a major milestone for retail. Together with Alliance Digitale and its partners, ARISTID remains actively committed to evolving industry practices and supporting retailers through this sustainable transition.

Drive-to-Store Morning Event Recap

During this Alliance Digitale event, retailers, experts, and service providers gathered for a morning dedicated to the challenges of local and digital communication.

Highlights included:

This was a valuable event rich in discussions and insights, confirming the importance of high-performing multilocal communication that is data-driven and consumer-focused.

The event showcased the committee’s work around three major themes: catalog digitalization, to leverage digital tools and rethink product catalog creation and distribution; Drive-to-Store measurement, to identify metrics and solutions for evaluating campaign impact on store traffic; and multilocal advertising, to adapt advertising strategies to specific regional characteristics and local consumer expectations.
